The Rice-Wheat Consortium for the Indo-Gangetic plains (RWC) is an alliance of the national agricultural research systems of the South Asian countries of Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan. In collaboration with several international centers and agricultural research institutes, the RWC fosters sustainable productivity in rice-wheat farming systems.International Rice Research Institute (www.irri.org) is the convening centre for RWC.

Integrated Crop and Resource Management in Rice-Wheat System of South Asia The book outlines the work and impact of the Rice-Wheat Consortium to address the issues of intensively-cultivated and irrigated cropping systems in the semi-arid agro-ecoregion of Indo-Gangetic Plains (IGP) in South Asia. Fifteen years of research and knowledge to help farmers conserve resources and manage their rice-wheat farms better in IGP is captured in the book.
