Training on spray techniques of herbicides

Training on spray techniques of herbicides was held at the Regional Maize Research and Seed Production center at Begusarai, Bihar, on August 13, 2008 to strengthen the success of Consevation Agriculture in Bihar,. More than two hundred farmers and fifty extension agents from government, agro-input industries, NGO’s and pesticide dealers that are working for the development, testing and extension of different agro techniques attended the training. Dr. Robin R. Bellinder, Professor, Weed science, Cornell University, a well known weed scientist was the lead speaker. She demonstrated herbicide application techniques and made presentation on herbicide application technology. Drs U.P.Singh and Virender Kumar from Benaras Hindu University and International Rice Research Institute- India office accompanied her.
